In January of 2016, Voyager Academy High School Instrumental Music Students, along with their instructor Max Puhala, received the Vans Custom Culture Grant (yes, the shoe company!) to bring music to East Chapel Hill High School students with disabilities. The students from both schools recorded a bunch of music together, performed alongside each other at East Chapel Hill's graduation ceremony, and formed long-lasting relationships.
